Quick Add no longer clips while you type. The cause: onChange(of: taskName) fired the dropdown-visibility callback on every keystroke, and the controller ran an NSAnimationContext resize even for no-op transitions. Each animation cut off the one still in flight and the frame flickered. The callback now fires only on a real dropdown state change, and the resize itself is guarded against no-ops.

In 2.1.10 the recursive backing-layer wipe went too deep and touched the NSVisualEffectView instances inside .glassEffect itself — hence the clipped corners and the washed-out flat look while typing. Only the root NSHostingView layer is cleared now (that's where the default system background actually lives), and Apple's inner glass layers are left alone.

The glass is finally glass. In 2.1.8–2.1.9 an opaque default NSHostingView layer showed through underneath .glassEffect — in Light Mode it looked like a flat light-grey rectangle and killed the refraction. Both windows (the popover and Quick Add) now clear their backing layers recursively on every layout pass, and the glass finally shows the desktop behind it.
A stable dark identity. The force-dark colorScheme is back on the popover and Quick Add themselves (but not on the NSPanel via darkAqua) — that gives Nimer a recognisable dark chrome regardless of the system mode, the way Fantastical, Bartender and Things do it. The glass still catches your wallpaper's colour at the edges.

Readable text in Light Mode. In 2.1.8 text on glass was a washed-out black at a fixed opacity, and it disappeared into light glass over a bright wallpaper. It now uses vibrancy-aware .foregroundStyle(.primary/.secondary/.tertiary), so the system picks the contrast for you in both modes.
From 2.1.8: darkAqua, the force-dark colorScheme, the black tint and the extra shadows are off the glass. The popover and Quick Add render as native Liquid Glass that adapts to your wallpaper.
